Carrie M. Benedon
Carrie M. Benedon, an associate with the firm, graduated cum laude from the University of Wisconsin Law School in 2005. She received her B.S. in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin in 2002, where she graduated with high honors.
Carrie practices in the area of civil litigation. Her litigation practice includes school and municipal law, labor and employment, business law, real estate, and intellectual property. She regularly appears before state and federal courts and administrative bodies.
Carrie serves on the Board of the Legal Association for Women, and through that role she created a mentoring program that pairs women attorneys with women law students at the University of Wisconsin Law School. Carrie is a member of the American, Wisconsin and Dane County Bar Associations, the Wisconsin School Attorneys Association, the James E. Doyle Chapter of the American Inns of Court, and Madison MAGNET. She also volunteers for the State Bar of Wisconsin’s Lawyer Hotline.
Carrie is the 2010 recipient of the State Bar of Wisconsin Young Lawyer Professional Accomplishment Award, an award given to a young lawyer who has made significant contributions to the legal profession. Carrie was also named a 2009 Wisconsin Super Lawyers Rising Star.
During law school, Carrie served as Director of the National Evans Constitutional Law Moot Court Competition, Vice President of the UW Law School Moot Court Board, and President of the Women Law Students Association. In addition, Carrie spent two years as Director of the Legal Information Center, a non-profit organization that provides free legal information to low-income individuals.
Upon graduation from law school, Carrie received the Bruce Beilfuss Memorial Award for outstanding service to the law school.
